Buying crypto

How to purchase cryptocurrency with card or bank on Faint Exchange — step by step.

Overview

The buy flow lets you pay with debit/credit card or bank transfer (via Stripe Crypto On-ramp) and receive crypto directly to a wallet address you provide. The service fee is 4% with a minimum order of $6 USD (or equivalent).

Requirements

Account: You must sign in (free Clerk account) before completing a card/bank purchase.
Wallet address: A valid receive address for the crypto and network you select.
Supported asset: Not every token can be bought with card — see supported list below.
Payment method: Card or bank through Stripe's secure checkout.

Step-by-step guide

Go to faintdev.co.uk/exchange and sign in if prompted.
Choose network — e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Solana, Litecoin. This determines which tokens appear.
Choose token — pick the cryptocurrency you want to receive (BTC, ETH, USDC, etc.).
Enter amount — type how much you want to spend in fiat (minimum $6).
Paste wallet address — triple-check the address and that it matches the selected network.
Review estimate — you will see approximately how much crypto you receive after fees.
Confirm order — you receive an FX-XXXXXX order ID.
Complete Stripe payment — follow the on-screen Stripe on-ramp to pay by card or bank.
Track delivery — use /verify or your order page until status shows completed.

Card-supported cryptocurrencies

Stripe Crypto On-ramp only supports certain assets. If you pick an unsupported token, the site will block checkout and ask you to choose a supported coin or use another route.

BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC (Ethereum/Base/Solana/Polygon/Avalanche), MATIC/POL, AVAX, XLM

Litecoin (LTC) and card payments

Litecoin cannot be purchased with card through Stripe. If you want LTC, use the swap route (deposit another crypto) or buy a supported asset and swap separately.

The estimate on the order form shows crypto received after fees — not the raw fiat-to-coin rate.

After you pay

Stripe may take a few minutes to confirm payment — refresh your order page if status is pending.
Crypto delivery time depends on network congestion and Stripe on-ramp processing.
If Stripe fails, use the retry button on your order page (for supported assets only).
Your order page shows both USD paid and crypto amount expected.

Common buy issues
